Our Nursery
Nursery Rhymes Children’s Day Nursery, Pre-school and Jabberwocky Club is situated in the centre of Addingham village and opened in 2001.
The nursery has four separate playrooms, each of which is designed to meet the changing needs of the children as they grow and develop. We have a purposefully designed outdoor play area to the rear of the setting which the children have access to daily. At Nursery Rhymes the quality of the childcare provided for each individual child is of paramount importance. We aim to provide a happy, safe, and stimulating environment, for each child to reach their full potential. We care for a total of 50 children within the four playrooms.

Our Team
All staff employed by Nursery Rhymes are vetted for their suitability to work with children. An enhanced Disclosure Barring System, (DBS) check is undertaken on behalf of any new member of staff joining the organisation.
Ofsted stipulate that 50% of the staff who care for children within a nursery setting should be qualified. Nursery Rhymes has a policy of running our qualified staffing levels well above this. We endeavour to have all staff qualified or working towards a recognised Early Years Level 3 as a minimum.
Although this is a fantastic achievement, we believe that continual professional development is essential for all staff to ensure that they are kept up to date with new thinking and developments within early years. Regular training is accessed through our local Early Years Childcare Partnership along with external and online providers. Training is completed on a monthly basis and enhances the care and experiences which we provide for the children.
