​We have four playrooms at Nursery Rhymes which have been designed around the children’s needs. Each playroom is calmly decorated and makes use of various displays to promote each child’s individuality. Each child has their own individual board in which we display their artwork, pictures captured and any family photographs and memories too.

​At Nursery Rhymes we are lucky to have a self-contained, safe outdoor play area with a fantastic range of resources and experiences to stimulate and encourage a child’s development.
 
Activities such as den building, exploring the environment and nature and large-scale paint, sand and water play are regular features of the outdoor provision throughout the year.

All children are encouraged to use the outdoors every day. Nursery Rhymes actively promotes the benefit of using the outdoors to enable children to be healthier, happier, and become fitter. The nursery follows the ethos of, “There is no such thing as inappropriate weather, just inappropriate clothing”, therefore we encourage parents to remember hats, coats, and wellington boots for lots of outdoor fun in all types of weathers.

We also love to explore our village and the community visiting shops, local amenities, and open spaces to extend our learning.
